From the Owner

I started Mario’s Music Company due partially to my wife’s prompting. I started playing live music at weddings with a jazz ensemble the year before with some classmates from the Wayne State Jazz Studies program! We had a blast! I would sing with everything I had and blow my trumpet and harmonica performing all of the greats, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Prima!

Toward the end of the summer I encountered a lot of DJ’s who madeprofessional musicians and entertainers look bad and My wife articulated it just as I was thinking it. “Why don’t you offer DJ services and your live Band? You have 5,000 cds!” It was an ah-ha moment. The rest is history. I’ve DJ’d about 40 gigs a year last year! My band is available if you want the best cocktail music in Michigan!

I’ve taken my knowledge of performing live and entertaining live and used those experiences to entertain for your weddings and am so blessed to have 19 years under my belt yet still be relevant enough that high schools still ask for me and yet also be able to bring my knowledge of oldies to engage guests in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s!

My biggest thanks is to God Almighty for His many blessings and for allowing me to meet my beautiful bride on the mission field in 1995 and before moving from California to Michigan in 1998! Thank you all for your love I look forward to making your party, reception, etc THE BEST!

We picked Mario as our wedding DJ after knowing him from trivia- I can't say enough good things. He kept the dancefloor PACKED all night long. He was willing to work with us however we needed him too and even helped me throw a little surprise into the father-daughter dance. We also had him do some up lighting for us and it brought everything up a notch. I got nothing but compliments from all my guests on how great of a job Mario and co did. Awesome DJ.
